Caesar Analysis
My group chose to reenact Act IV Scene III when Brutus sees the ghost of Caesar. We chose this scene because Brutus starts to feel guilty for killing Caesar. This scene is important because Caesar’s ghost represents Brutus’s guilt. His guilt will be important near the end of the play because Brutus will have to figure out why he is seeing the ghost of Caesar. Also in the scene Brutus thinks that he is actually seeing a ghost but when he asks his partners, they say that they did not see one. This shows that only Brutus is seeing the ghost and that it is his inner voice telling him something. I took the role of Caesar’s ghost. This is an important position because Caesar’s Ghost symbolizes Brutus’s conscience saying that he will regret killing Caesar. In a sense, I also took the role of Brutus’s spirituality because the ghost of Caesar is really Brutus’s.
